This section begins with the definition of waves and their classification based on specific criteria and the (simplified) equation of waves. Then, it continues with some elements and features as well as also the general equation of waves, where quantities such as velocity and acceleration of oscillating particles of waves are discussed. The difference between speed of wave and that of oscillating particles is explained. Energy and power of waves are other concepts discussed in this section as well as properties such as interference and diffraction. Finally, we cover information on sound waves (including power and intensity) and electromagnetic ones (including some info about light).
